Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by China to the north, Laos to the northwest, Cambodia to the southwest, and the South China Sea, referred to as East Sea (Vietnamese: Biển Đông), to the east. With a population of over 86 million, Vietnam is the 13th most populous country in the world.

Sweet Corn pudding (Che Bap)

With a simple way, just a few small steps you can complete cool and sweet soup in the summer.

  • 2-3 corns
  • a bowl of tapioca
  • 50g sugar
  • 100ml coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon corn meal.


Cut the bottom of the cob. Using a sharp knife, shave the corn off the cob with long smooth downward strokes until you reach the corn cob.Save the core of corn.

Add about two bowls of water in the pot, the cob and corn kernels are boiled.To boil until the corn kernels are soft, Remove corn cobs from the pot.

The  next,add sugar in the pot, bring to boil over medium high heat.

To dissolve the corn starch with a few tablespoons of cold water.Stir cornstarch mixture into the simmering corn and bring to a boil to thicken.

Pour the coconut milk, salt, sugar, corn meal in a saucepan and bring to a low boil, medium heat stirring just until coconut milk thickens.

Remove from heat and immediately ladle corn pudding.

This dish can be served warm, at room temperature, cold or over ice.
